We launched the e-government Portal of the Corrientes Province in Argentina

After many months of development finally we launched the unified e-Government portal of the Corrientes Province in Argentina.
This portal is framed in a general e-government project for the modernization of management systems, communications, and security of the province.

Sebastian Tedesco said that "this portal is the gateway to the Digital Government, the idea is to unify under a single platform all that is content management, provision of community participatory tools and information portals. The platform we are deploying is specially designed for this function".

The website is developed on Collaborative Platform, the system on which PAGINAR.NET bases its government portals deployed in Argentina and Spain. This platform is based on the content management system Drupal, the core system of the White House website (see previous post).

The portal gathers information from all public offices, secretaries and ministries of the province in a Web 2.0 scheme where citizenship has broad participation mechanisms with reviews, forums, surveys, guides and multiple axes through which to reach the information. Besides the institutional content, the portal serves as a portal for news, images, videos and blogs from which the spokesmen of the province can generate their own space for expression and communication.
