We launched the on-line newspaper archive for ABC.es!

ABC.es has trusted PAGINAR.NET to carry out the design for the newly launched on-line newspaper archive.

The ABC's digital newspaper archive includes more than five million documents that reviews the main developments since 1891, and now transformed into history. The newspaper archive service, whose design has involved the Interactive Communications Unit of PAGINAR.NET and ABC.es team is available to all public for free at http://hemeroteca.abc.es.

This new tool offers to the public over 100 years of journalistic documents of Spain for free.

PAGINAR.NET has worked in many aspects of the website design including usability issues, information architecture, design and layout, graphical interface and web standards.

"The result is a simple and clear interface, aligned with the image of the newspaper, which provides users access to more than 100 years of history through ABC's publications," says PAGINAR.NET‘s general manager for Europe, Luciano Schlaen.

The scanned documentary database of the archive has five million pages and is the result of many months of hard work.

This new digital tool is a pioneering initiative, allowing journalists, users, historians and other professionals to learn and explore more than 100 years of history.
